Brisbane day 2-3

These two days have been traveling around brissy like a tourist.. Going to places I haven't been to. I really love this place because of its slow pace. I feel relax being here.

Went to New Farm market for breakfast. We were so hungry that we got greedy again. We forgot that our next stop is brunch. And well, my tummy felt like it's gonna burst after eating so much. Then Jinyan drove us to Goldcoast for some sightseeing. We had fun at The Spit, and were tired taking loads of #failed jumping shots on the beach. We may have a lot of common interest, but we can't seem to coordinate that day.

Dinner was settled at Sunnybank. I was so looking fwd to eat my fav baked rice and have my fav boba there. Cravings satisfied!

This morning strawberry farm trip is like heaven on earth, I'll tell you why. We each have a container to pick our strawberries that costs $16 per kg. We then had our breakfast at the cafe over there. Their strawberry ice cream is da bomb! The scones are not the best we had though.. I then take a minute to look around my surrounding while I'm eating and I must say I love what I was seeing at that moment. You see kids playing at the playground, adults lying down on the picnic mats chilling.. You picture this scene with blue sky and large greenery space behind as backdrop.. So picture-perfect.

We then went trekking at Noosa National Park. I must say it was a great workout! Haha! Cos we kept inputting calories into our body, and with the winter, we were just in our hibernation mode. Special thanks to Jinyan taking the effort to drive us all the way to Sunshine Coast and back!

Brisbane Day 1

It feels amazing to be back here in Brisbane after 4 long years! The place I spent two wonderful years of my life as an undergraduate. I love every minute of it. First day has been very enjoyable so far. We went shopping in the city.

Everything here gives me the same-same but different feel. No doubt It's a shag day with low quality on flight sleep of 7hrs, I am still full of excitement looking forward to the next 8 days!

And did I mention, we have our dinner cooked by my wonderful mother in law!! How reminiscing! All the memories of being a student back came back. Ahh..

Just came home a while ago. April's friend, Jinyan drove us to Kangaroo Point for some night view.. Then to Southbank for some night life view. Can't thank her more. (:

Which do you prefer? Korean or Japanese makeup?

No doubt both styles are about looking natural and youthful, but there are still a slight difference when you take a closer look.

I would describe Korean makeup look as chic, whereas Japanese one as looking innocent. There are key things that makes them different. Korean emphasizes on their eyes, be it tight-lining for natural look or a thick black catwing liner to enhance their eyes, bright lip color, which I love, with little or no blush at all, and Japanese focus on long lashes for dolly eyes, rich blush on the cheeks, with makeup on the rest of the face very soft and minimal. On lazy days, I will just leave home with Japanese makeup as there is very little to be done. And on days when I needed to go for an outing or party, I will sport on Korean makeup for a chic look. So what is your preference?

4 steps face cleansing regime

I always ensure I cleanse my face thoroughly before going to bed. So here's my skincare tips.

No doubt we cannot defy the effect of gravity and external factors, but we can delay the appearance of large pores, fine lines and wrinkles by washing our face correctly.

#1 Remove makeup from the delicate parts of the face. I currently use an oil-free lip & eye makeup remover by Laneige formulated to remove waterproof/heavy makeup around eyes and lips. For a more economical option, I recommend 1028 Hydrating Eye and Lip Makeup Remover. Like the former, it is suitable for waterproof makeup, just that it takes a few seconds longer for makeup to dissolve.

[1028 Visual Therapy] Hydrating Eye and Lip Makeup Remover - 75ml

#2 Remove makeup for the rest of the face. I am using a lightweight and refreshinging wipe-off makeup remover by Biore that lifts off makeup and dirt effectively. This Miscellar Cleansing Water makes my skin feels clean and refreshed with no sticky after feel. Alternatively if I'm staying out during the weekends, I'll use cleansing wipes by Cremorlab, which are gentle yet thoroughly wiping away dirt, makeup and impurities while having a soothing and moisturizing effect on the skin. Talk about multi-functions.

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water

#3 For night time cleansing, I'll go for a two-steps cleansing like how beauty salon always does. Milk cleanser follow by foam cleanser. For milk cleanser, I'm using a Korean salon-use brand, Skindom, that I use for my facial customers. You can drop me an email if you are interested in getting it. Alternatively, you can try Loreal Gentle Cleansing Milk. Like the name implies, it gently removes makeup and other impurities. Just apply and massage lightly with fingertips, you can then remove with cotton pad or rinse it off.

#4 For foam cleanser, if you are like me who don't like cleanser that leaves a tight feeling after cleansing, try Sulwhasoo's mild cleansing foam that can at the same time effectively remove impurities. For a cheaper alternative, try TheFaceShop Green Tea cleansing foam. It has rich and mild bubbles that can wash off unwanted waste and residue on your face.

It just takes a little more effort to have beautiful, good complexion. Cheers!
